What We Believe

The Word of God is true and is the final authority for our lives.

At The Rivers of Living Waters Church, our beliefs are grounded in the foundational truths of the Bible. Every aspect of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows from Scripture, guided by both knowledge and revelation.

  • We believe in one true and living God, sovereign over all, who reveals Himself as Father and is actively involved in creation and in the lives of His people today.

One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
    Ephesians 4:5-6

  • We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who came to redeem humanity. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we have access to salvation, relationship with God, and new life.

God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.
    Colossians 1:15

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is active and present in the life of every believer today, empowering us to live, grow, and be witnesses of Jesus Christ. We make room for His leading in our services, our prayer, and our daily lives.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
    Acts 1:8
But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.
    John 16:7

  • We believe salvation is a transforming work of God that brings new life through repentance, faith, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
    John 3:5

  • We believe baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation, identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a step of obedience and a public declaration of faith.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
    Acts 2:38

  • We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the promise of new life for all who believe in Him. Through His victory over death, we live with hope, purpose, and the assurance of eternal life.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,”
    John 11:25

  • The Church is a Spirit-filled community of believers growing together in faith, love, and purpose, encouraging one another and impacting the world through the power of God.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
    Hebrews 10:24-25

  • We believe love is the foundation of our faith and the evidence of a transformed life. As we have received the love of Christ, we are called to reflect it in how we serve, forgive, and care for others.

A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
    John 13:34

The Season to

Be A Believer

Our Mission

The mission of The Rivers of Living Waters Church is to help heal the brokenhearted, declare freedom to those in turmoil, open doors to those who need a way out, give comfort to all who are suffering, and proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

As a church, we declare:

I pledge

To bind up the broken hearted,

Proclaim liberty to the captive,

Open prisons to them that are bound,

To comfort all who mourn, and

Proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

This is my mission, this is my purpose, so help me God.

Our Vision

The vision of The Rivers of Living Waters Church is to see you walking in a new, refreshing way of life centered on the promises of God and to see the miraculous way Jesus pours out His powerful love to you with each new experience you have with Him and His people.

This is who you become:

I am no longer what I used to be

I have faith to move mountains

Power to defeat the enemy

Strength to endure all things

And joy, bubbling in my soul

THE RIVERS OF LIVING WATERS CHURCH

THE BEGINNING

BESIDE STILL WATERS

A small church building with red brick exterior, white steeple, and a surrounding chain-link fence, located on a grassy lawn with a sidewalk in front.

From the beginning, God established a foundation rooted in hope and truth. He knew where he was preparing us to go, should we stand in unity and trust.

THE PRESENT

WHERE RIVERS FLOW

Today, the same foundations are alive and flowing - carrying the message of hope, freedom, and transformation to every life God brings our way.

A church building with tall white columns, a pediment, and a steeple under a clear blue sky, with leafless trees and a sidewalk in the foreground.
A church with white columns and brick walls next to a large green tree along a street with a stop sign.
A snowy scene with a large building featuring classical architecture, including four large pillars at the entrance, on a winter day with snow covering the ground and snowflakes falling.

Our story

Our story is one of faith, growth, and transformation.
What began as a work led by God has become a place where lives are changed, hearts are restored, and purpose is awakened.

Through every season, God has remained faithful - guiding, building, and expanding this ministry into what it is today.

This is not just where we’ve been…
This is what we are still becoming.

An Amazing place to worship. You are guaranteed to have an experience while obtaining sound teaching of the Word of God. If you are looking for a family oriented church home I highly recommend. You and you family will never be the same after the encounter. I always look forward to attending service when I visit the city of Killeen.
